The Perpendiculator is a compact mechanical guide designed to assist with drilling and tapping operations in a perpendicular orientation to the workpiece surface. Functioning as a manual tapping arm and drilling guide, it helps maintain consistent 90° alignment, allowing you to produce clean, accurate holes and threads with minimal effort.

Its guided mechanism supports the tool throughout the working range, helping to keep the drill or tap square to the surface during operation. This makes the Perpendiculator especially useful for tasks where straightness and alignment are critical — such as thread cutting, fixture assembly, and precision workshop work.

The Perpendiculator lets you focus on the cutting process while the guide controls alignment. Whether you are cutting threads, drilling mounting holes, or working on small production runs, this tapping-arm-style solution significantly reduces the risk of angled holes, broken taps, and misaligned fasteners.

Unlike many parallelogram-based tapping arms that introduce a slight circular movement in the Z-axis, the Perpendiculator uses a linear vertical motion, making tool control more intuitive and easier to predict during drilling and tapping.

Key Features

  • Functions as a tapping arm and drilling guide - improving accuracy and repeatability
  • Linear vertical movement - in contrast to parallelogram tapping arms with circular Z-axis movement
