Article I – Basic Provisions
1. These General Terms and Conditions (the “GTC”) govern the rights and obligations between the seller and the buyer in the sale of goods through the online store pristools.com.
2. The buyer is a natural or legal person entering into a purchase agreement with the seller. A consumer is a natural person acting outside their trade, business or profession.
3. Legal relationships not governed by these GTC are subject to Slovak law. Where the buyer is a consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State, mandatory consumer rights under the law of that state remain unaffected.
Article II – Conclusion of Purchase Agreement
1. An order placed through the online store constitutes an offer to conclude a purchase agreement.
2. The purchase agreement is concluded when the seller confirms the order by email.
3. The seller may reject an order, in particular if the goods are unavailable, the price contains an obvious error, or there is a reasonable suspicion of data misuse.
4. The contract is concluded in the language selected by the buyer in the online store. It is stored electronically and is not accessible to third parties.
Article III – Price of Goods and Payment Terms
1. The price is stated for each product and is final, including VAT where applicable. The applicable tax treatment, shipping price and any additional costs are displayed before the order is submitted.
2. The buyer may choose from the payment methods offered in the online store.
3. The seller may change prices for future orders; changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
Article IV – Delivery Terms
1. Goods are delivered to the address entered in the order or handed over by personal collection.
2. Delivery time depends on availability and destination.
3. The buyer must accept the ordered goods and inspect their condition and the integrity of the packaging
upon delivery.
Article V – Transfer of Ownership and Risk of Damage
1. Ownership passes to the buyer only after full payment of the purchase price.
2. For consumers, the risk of loss or damage passes when the goods are received by the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier.
Article VI – Withdrawal from the Contract
1. A buyer who is a consumer has a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason within 14 days after receiving the goods. If goods from one order are delivered separately, the period begins on receipt of the last item; for goods consisting of several parts, on receipt of the last part.
2. In addition to the statutory right, the seller grants consumers a voluntary right to return standard stock goods within 30 days after receipt. From day 15 to day 30, the goods must be unused, undamaged, complete and preferably in the original packaging. This voluntary right does not apply to goods made to order or to the customer’s specifications, or to B2B purchases unless otherwise agreed.
3. The consumer may withdraw by an unequivocal statement sent by email or post, by using the form published on the online store, or through an online function labelled “Withdraw from the contract here” or another equally clear wording.
4. When using the online function, the consumer provides their name, information identifying the contract or order and an electronic contact. The consumer confirms the declaration through a function labelled “Confirm withdrawal” or equivalent wording. The seller promptly sends a confirmation on a durable medium containing the declaration, date and time of submission.
5. The consumer must send or hand back the goods no later than 14 days after declaring withdrawal. The consumer bears the direct return costs unless the seller expressly states otherwise.
6. The consumer may unpack and test the goods only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. The consumer is liable for diminished value caused by handling beyond that extent. Original packaging and an original purchase document are not conditions of statutory withdrawal where the purchase can be proved otherwise; suitable packaging is recommended for safe transport.
7. The seller refunds all payments received, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered, no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed. For sales of goods, the seller may withhold the refund until the goods are received or the consumer provides proof of dispatch, whichever occurs first.
8. The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised and to other statutory exceptions.
Article VII – Rights and Obligations of the Contracting Parties
1. The buyer must provide truthful and complete information when ordering.
2. The seller must deliver the ordered goods in accordance with these GTC.
3. The buyer is entitled to proper delivery and handling of complaints.
Article VIII – Complaints and Liability for Defects
1. Consumer rights relating to defective goods are governed by applicable law. The seller is liable for defects appearing within the statutory liability period, generally 24 months after delivery unless the law or nature of the goods provides otherwise.
2. Complaints may be submitted by email or post; the buyer may use the complaint form.
3. The seller will assess and process the complaint within the statutory period and inform the buyer of the result on a durable medium.
Article IX – Personal Data Protection
1. The seller processes the buyer’s personal data in accordance with applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
2. Further information is provided in the separate Privacy Policy (GDPR).
Article X – Final Provisions
1. These GTC enter into force on July 24, 2026.
2. A consumer who is dissatisfied with the handling of a complaint may first request remedy from the seller. If the request is rejected or is not answered within the statutory period, the consumer may submit the dispute to a competent alternative dispute resolution body, in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection (www.soi.sk), under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll.
3. The seller may amend these GTC. The amended version takes effect on publication.
4. Rights and obligations arising before an amendment remain unaffected.
